TheFinalCode.com · Superlok USA Case Study

Millions to multi-millions.
Here is how.

Some of the best instrumentation fittings in the world, and for years the engineers who needed them could not find them. In 2024 SuperlokUSA.com turned up for 294 search terms. Two years laterMore than 10,000 — and the business up roughly 50%.

The fittings were never the problem. The engineer could not find them.We turn your vision into digital reality.

The Short Version

SuperlokUSA.com makes instrumentation fittings and valves to a standard that holds in a nuclear plant. Online, the company was almost invisible to anybody who did not already know its name.

  • The catalogue was unreachable. Findable by name, and by almost nothing else.
  • The market was being rented. New buyers arrived through the ad budget, or they did not arrive.
  • So we went and owned it. New photography across the line, every description rewritten, the catalogue reorganised around how buyers actually search — and a search log that reports the words the site could not answer.

Today the company turns up for the comparison searches themselves — the ones where a buyer is already looking for an alternative.

Part of the line, reshot. Every item in the catalogue was photographed again — the same way, on the same white, so a buyer comparing two fittings is comparing the fittings.
The cross-reference What he types, and what is on the shelf
  1. SS-400-1-4 An interchangeable part
  2. SS-400-6 An interchangeable part
  3. SS-600-3 An interchangeable part
  4. SS-810-1-8 An interchangeable part

× thousands more. One cross-reference is a lucky guess. A catalogue of them is a different business — and for years almost none of it turned up when an engineer went looking.

Somewhere Right Now

An engineer is typing a part number into Google. It is not your part number.

He is not shopping. He is specifying. The fitting is on the drawing in front of him, and the fastest way to get it is to type the number.

He is four weeks out from a marketplace listing before he ever learns there was a same-day answer sitting in Ventura, California.

He will never see it.

Thousands of parts. On the shelf. Today.

Not a catalogue of things that can be ordered in. Stock, in aisles, deep enough that the part on the drawing is almost certainly already here — and close enough to the door to leave today.

Forty Years In The Trade

Everything a buyer could want to know.

Forty years on one thing: instrumentation fittings and valves, held to a standard that does not move. The interior surface finish stands with anything made anywhere in the world, and in high-purity work that finish is the whole job.

Thousands of items on the shelf in Ventura, California. Call, and a person picks up — no phone tree, no voicemail.

None of which a search engine had any way of knowing.

Where a Superlok USA fitting ends up Rooms where a leak is not an inconvenience
  1. 01 Semiconductor fabs Ultra-high-purity gas and chemical lines, where the inside surface of a fitting is the product
  2. 02 Refineries Hydrocarbons at pressure, outdoors, for decades at a time
  3. 03 Power plants Including nuclear service, where the paperwork is as heavy as the part
  4. 04 AI data-centre cooling loops Liquid running inches from live compute, which is the newest room on this list

2024 · What It Was Worth Online

And no way for a buyer to find it.

Where the search traffic came from 2024, before the work began
  • Already knew the nameAn address. It finds nobody new.
  • A new buyerThe entire market, in a sliver.

~$10k a month was going on ads to rent even that sliver — the same clicks bought again every month, at full price.

Ranking for your own name is an address, not a market. It finds the people who already know you exist, and nobody else.

Thousands of items in the catalogue, and an engineer searching by the application rather than the brand would never meet one of them.

Forty years of reputation, reaching almost nobody new.

Why rent those search terms when you can own them?

The first question we asked.

Rented

Ads

Twelve months, twelve invoices, and the same click bought twelve times. Stop paying and it is gone that afternoon.

Owned

Rankings

The same twelve months, spent building a position instead of renting one. It is still there next quarter.

What We Actually Did

Hardware this precise deserves a catalogue that does it justice.

A fitting held to a tenth of a thousandth, photographed badly, sells like a fitting that is not held to anything.

  1. We reshot the entire product line Together with the Superlok USA team, part by part, so the photography matches the tolerance.
  2. We rewrote every product description In the words a specifying engineer uses, not the words a catalogue system generated.
  3. We reorganised it around how buyers search By fit type, by industry, and by the legacy part number already in their hand.

An engineer does not arrive knowing your part number. He arrives holding somebody else’s.

The Part Most Agencies Never Build

A search box that reports every word it could not answer.

We built a custom search tool into the site that logs every query typed into it. Not a summary at the end of the month. Every query, as it happens.

SuperlokUSA.com · internal search log
  • 1/4 tube fitting 31642 results
  • double ferrule compression18 results
  • cross reference to legacy part number0 results
  • n-stamp nuclear valve7 results
  • high purity fitting semiconductor0 results

Every red line is a buyer who arrived, asked for something real, and left with nothing. Then we go and close that gap.

No guessing about whether the site works. The site tells us, in the buyer’s own words, exactly where it does not — and every gap we close is a search that used to end somewhere else. This is the kind of thing we build ›

2026 · Today

More than 10,000 terms — including the ones that name a competitor.

The comparison searches are the hardest to win and the most valuable to keep, because the person typing one has already decided to look at an alternative. These are the ones Superlok USA now turns up for.

  • Swagelok® competitors
  • Swagelok® compatible fittings
  • Parker® to Swagelok® cross-reference
  • Hy-Lok® cross-reference
  • Gyrolok® cross-reference

The engineer looking for an alternative finally finds one. Every competitor number he might arrive holding is another way into the catalogue, which is why the count grew the way it did.

The Result

The only thing that changed is that the engineer can find them.

~50% business growth in the years since the work began
on a base already in the tens of millions the revenue that growth is measured against

The money stopped going on rent. The terms SuperlokUSA.com was paying for month after month are terms the company now holds on its own — same fittings, same forty-year reputation, same person picking up the phone.

Ready When You Are

Is your reputation bigger than your online presence?

If it is, that is a fixable problem, and it is the one we fix. Superlok USA had forty years of standing in the trade before we did a thing. What the company did not have was a way for a new buyer to arrive.

Tell us what you make and who specifies it. We will read your site ourselves and show you the terms your buyers type, where you sit on each one today, and what it takes to own them instead of renting them.
